BAKGATLA-BA-KGAFELA PARTNERS WITH THE ALL AFRICA BUSINESS LEADERS AWARDS

Bakgatla-Ba-Kgafela Traditional Administration (BBKTA) will be bringing a touch of platinum to the Finale of the 2015 All Africa Business Leaders Awards (AABLA) in Partnership with CNBC Africa, securing their participation in this year’s event as the ‘Finale Host Partner’.

BBKTA will play host the Finale of Africa’s biggest business award – the 2015 All Africa Business Leaders Awards (AABLA) in Partnership with CNBC Africa, to showcase South Africa’s next big city development in the area. The Bakgatla tribe located in Moruleng, within close proximity to Sun City and the Pilanesberg National Park, in the North West Province of South Africa, boasts a population of about 350’000.

The BBKTA’s partnership with CNBC Africa will position Bakgatla-Ba-Kgafela on a pan-African stage and provide exposure to South Africa’s platinum belt region with its rich natural and cultural resources. AABLA finalists will also delight in the rare honour of engaging with Kgosi Nyalala Pilane of the Bakgatla community who will share deeper insights into projects currently underway particularly in his jurisdiction of Moruleng and future plans in the North West province.

A significant outcome of the partnership with the 2015 AABLA is the incubation of students of the newly established Bakgatla Film and Television Academy, who will join the CNBC Africa crew in the production of the 2015 AABLA Finale, thus providing the learners with world class experience and first hand insight into the creation and broadcasting of an award event of such magnitude.

Regional events will be staged in Nairobi, Lagos and Johannesburg with the Finale taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre in November 2015.

The AABLA, now half a decade old, recognise Africa’s bold leaders and change-makers of business in East, West and Southern Africa. The winners of each region will go through to the Finale to crown an All Africa victor.

AABLA winners will be chosen across seven distinguished categories:

  • Young Business Leader of the Year
  • Business Women of the Year
  • Business Leader of the Year
  • Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Philanthropist of the Year
  • Industrialist of the Year supported by the IDC
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

The event will once again be produced by ABN Productions.
