DIAMOND WALK TO OPEN IN SANDTON CITY THIS APRIL
Sandton City’s new Diamond Walk will open to the public in April, bringing global luxury brands to the heart of Sandton and longer shopping hours.
The highly anticipated Diamond Walk at Sandton City is set to impress with a brilliant new selection of the world’s most wanted brands: Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Ermenegildo Zegna, Billionaire Italian Couture, Jimmy Choo, Tod’s and Arque Champagne Crescent. Louis Vuitton and Gucci, both already part of Sandton City, will be enlarging their presence and form part of the impressive list of international fashion houses at Sandton City’s Diamond Walk.
“The launch of Sandton City Diamond Walk, featuring the world’s leading names in luxury and super-luxury retail, creates an even greater range of exceptional shopping available at Sandton City. Coinciding with the launch, as of April Sandton City will have longer trading hours from 9am to 8pm Monday to Saturday. On Sundays and public holidays Sandton City will be open from 9am to 6pm.”
– Alex Phakathi, Stanlib Fund Manager for the Liberty Property Portfolio
Sandton City’s Diamond Walk can be found in a new mall where Sandton City’s upper level links with the Sandton Sun and InterContinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers hotels, undergoing renovations for the next 6-months. The new walk, scheduled to open on April 30, was crafted in a R185-million redevelopment project to fashion a setting befitting of the world’s most coveted luxury retail brands with all the pizazz of world-class shopping.
Speculation is rife that Swedish based Hennes & Mauritz (H&M), the world’s second-largest fashion chain, might join Sandton City‘s 330 shops portfolio, but The Sandton Times has received no further insights.
