WHAT HAPPENED: SANDTON RUNS DRY

A scheduled water interruption for Sandton and surrounding areas on Tuesday 25 March left Sandtonites without water, after the replacing of a valve took longer than the planned 5pm cut-off time.

“Unfortunately the planned interruption ran for longer than expected as the team had a challenge with one of the valves. They worked through the night to try and resolve the problem and most of the work was completed.”

Water was reopened and once the system charged, the water was fully restored by lunch time, Wednesday 26 March.
